Six Senses Bhutan

Six Senses Punakha

Flying Farmhouse Amidst the Rice Fields

With a lower altitude and temperate climate, Punakha is the market garden of the country and warmest of the Six Senses Bhutan destinations. Produce grows year-round and it is the preferred winter destination of the Bhutanese.

Tiered rice paddies border local homes and trees along a hillside, with morning light illuminating the landscape and mountains stretching in the background. A monk in red robes holds a plate of food and looks ahead, with two monks seated nearby in a softly lit room offering a tranquil atmosphere.

Sustainability

Committed to the local environment, wildlife and communities
